ZenBo – the ASUS robot that talks, walks around your house and controls it

ZenBo is the first ASUS robot that is able to talk, move around the smart home and control it according to the owner's instructions.

ZenBo is a robot presented during this day by the company ASUS, he being thought to talk, walk around users' homes and control the smart gadgets that users have installed.

Jonney Shih, chairman of the board of directors of ASUS, presented ZenBo, stating that the intention of the company he leads is to robotize the homes of users all over the world, an objective that many other companies also have.

Ripped as if from a sci-fi movie, ZenBo it walks freely through users' homes and is able to talk to them, remind them to do various things, tell them who is at the door, lock the doors or windows, turn off the lights, turn on various household appliances and much, much more others.

ZenBo has a touch screen that displays the virtual image of a robotic face, users can interact with it to control the robot or to view multimedia content, or video streams taken from various smart gadgets in the house, to make calls video and many others.

ZenBo is able to follow its owners around the house, to dance with them if the music is stimulating enough, but it is also able to call the emergency services if the user needs medical assistance and cannot ask for it.

To be honest, ZenBo seems to be one of the best home robots made to date, or at least that's what the above video clip and images from the ASUS event show us, so it remains to be seen how the first reviews will look- ures of the actual products.

ZenBo has a selling price of 599 dollars and I think a lot of people will be interested in it, but its full utility is only offered in homes where there are many smart gadgets, many of the functions being related to controlling them in life daily.
