Apple acknowledges problems with MacBook Pro crashes

During the past weeks, I talked to you about the problems with MacBook Pro crashes, especially of the 13-inch screen models launched in 2016, affecting a very varied range of users, on various versions of OS X, without an apparent solution discovered.

Basically, the users of some MacBook Pro models complained that their laptops would freeze out of the blue during use, in some cases once a week, in other cases even every day and all without Apple offering them any solution at that time problem.

In a new support document published last week, the Apple company acknowledges the existence of the problem with MacBook Pro blockages and offers two solutions to fix the situation, the OS X update and the Adobe flash player update.

Some of those who have installed OS X 10.10.5, the latest public version available in the Mac App Store, confirm that the problem is solved by an update, but the situation is strange because other users had the problem in higher, beta versions.

  1. Use the Mac App Store to find and install any updates for OS X and other software.
  2. If you're using the Adobe Flash Player web plug-in, make sure you have the latest version. Contact Adobe if you need help downloading, installing, or using Adobe Flash Player.

If you have problems with MacBook Pro crashes, then update OS X to the latest version available in the Mac App Store, and if that doesn't solve the problem, then update Adobe's flash player as well, the last solution being visiting an authorized Apple service.
