What's new in watchOS 3 – faster apps, new complications and more

watchOS 3 is the first operating system that the Apple company talks about during WWDC 2016, Kevin Lynch taking the stage of the event to announce the improvements that the Apple company has prepared for users around the world.

Performance improvement

One of the biggest complaints of users about the Apple Watch is the slowness with which applications are opened, and Apple has solved this problem in watchOS 3, so that now applications will open much faster than in the past.

Compared to watchOS 2, applications open instantly in watchOS 3, performance being more than doubled for the new version of the operating system for Apple's smart watch.

The side button of the Apple Watch, the one under the crown, has been modified so that it now opens the dock, the old functionality being disabled based on the way users use their smart watches.

control Center

You have it in iOS or OS X, and now you will also have it in watchOS 3, the Apple company taking the decision to implement the quick control system for functions directly in its smart watch for users.

Emergency services

Apple has finally implemented a system that allows quick calling of emergency services, which can be done when the watch is connected to an iPhone, or when it is only connected to Wi-Fi.

Moreover, Apple Watch sends a notification to our emergency contacts, a notification message being sent together with our location.
