In watchOS 3, Apple implemented a dock designed to replace the interface normally accessed by pressing the side button of the Apple Watch, this new system giving users the opportunity to access the applications open in the background on the smart watch much more easily.
Basically, the new dock of watchOS 3 was thought to radically improve the performance of the Apple Watch because all the existing applications in it are saved in the RAM cache of the smart watch, so they will be suspended in the background and will start immediately after accessing.
Those from Apple looked for a method to solve one of the main dissatisfaction of the users, and the dock is this solution, but using this system will further reduce the autonomy of the watch's battery, so it remains to be seen how the function will be received in the fall.
