Basically we are talking about very old iDevices, such as iPhone 3GS or iPhone 4 that will no longer be able to use WhatsApp Messenger starting from the fall of this year, they are ending the series of iDevices that were blocked by the Apple company at iOS 6 and iOS 7, respectively, a long time ago.
Otherwise, all iDevices launched starting with the iPhone 4S, the beginning of 2011, will now be able to run WhatsApp Messenger even from the fall, and that's because they can all run iOS 8 or iOS 9 at the moment, some of them not being compatible with iOS 10, Apple stopping their support.
The number of those affected by this decision of WhatsApp is quite small, because the number of iPhone 4 terminals or older, currently active in the iOS user base is very small, so there will be few people who will complain about the change .
Stopping WhatsApp Messenger support for these versions of iOS is perfectly normal, the application evolving over the years with many functions, and offering compatibility with such old versions becomes impossible as the operating system evolves.
