Yesterday the Microsoft company launched Skype Meetings, a new free service that allows video conferences between all kinds of people, the company thinking everything for companies that need to make such video calls between multiple people who need to communicate in a simple and fast.
Skype Meetings is available for free to everyone, but users who have Office 365 subscriptions benefit from the entire package of benefits that the platform offers, those from Microsoft thinking of a variety of functions that users can enjoy in the daily use of the service.
Skype Meetings works in a similar way to the Skype service, so video calls can be made between users, but files can be shared, screens can be shared, video feeds can be cut to show only portions of registrations and many others.
Skype Meetings allows connecting a large number of users to these conferences, the interface offering the possibility to send messages to the participants, and those who want to make PowerPoint presentations also have the option of using lasers to indicate points of interest on the worksheets.
With Skype Meetings, you can quickly set up meetings and share a personalized URL that participants click to join the meeting. During the meeting, participants can IM, share their screen or PowerPoint presentation or use the laser pointer and whiteboard features to make it more engaging and productive. The meeting organizer also gets professional meeting controls such as the ability to mute the audience in order to be heard.
Skype Meetings is available for activation in this page, but all those interested must register with a company's email and benefit from the platform for free for 60 days, after which the functionality is limited until they buy an Office 360 subscription.
