Apple Watch is still selling well, despite its age

Although about 15 months have passed since then Apple Watch was officially launched, Apple's smart watch is still selling well in most markets around the world, the Swiss from USB estimating that in the second quarter of 2016 the smartwatch sold 1.7 million units worldwide.

The figure is 100.000 units higher than the one estimated for the first fiscal quarter of 2016 and we are talking about a surprising increase because Apple Watch it is a product that has not been updated from a hardware point of view for more than a year, with only software improvements.

Apple refuses to disclose sales figures Apple Watch, but even so, it seems that its product is doing much better than those of its competitors, it being the best-selling smartwatch in history, most competitors managing to sell in a year what Apple sells in three months, but these are cases rare and extremely happy.

Although the Apple Watch is to be updated in September by Apple, the Swiss from USB estimate that in the third fiscal quarter of 2016 the sales of the smart watch will reach 2 million units for a total of 10.35 million units in the whole year 2016 , an unexpectedly high figure for a product of this kind.

At the moment, Apple Watch has competition only from Samsung and Pebble, these companies manage to sell several hundred thousand units per year, Fitbit being the wearables company that surpasses Apple in sales in this segment, but most its products are much cheaper.

The Apple Watch has had a surprisingly good evolution considering that it is a product from a category that is only now starting to become popular, and the devices themselves are not extraordinarily useful, so it remains to be seen how they will evolve in the future things for Apple people.
