Chinese youth break iPhones in protest

Believe it or not, Chinese youths are protesting against the US by breaking the screens of iPhone terminals and posting pictures on social networks, this is the way they show their disapproval of the US policy of supporting the Philippines in the dispute with China regarding the South China Sea.

Basically, the US supports the Philippines and encourages the country to oppose China's property claims regarding the South China Sea, and the Chinese youth are angry about this, so they are protesting as much as they can against the Americans, both Apple and KFC being affected by these protests distributed including by the press.

Considering the fact that many Chinese are struggling to buy Apple iPhones, since they are very expensive in relation to the salaries earned by the locals, it is interesting to see that the smartphones of those from Cupertino are affected in this incident , their use having a strong impact on the public.

For KFC, the problem is even bigger because a few dozen people entered some restaurants and started chasing away customers, something that normally shouldn't happen in a civilized country, but the passion of the Chinese seems to give rise to some situations controversial, possibly violent soon.

A group of more than 20 people including children broke into the restaurant and shouted at customers to leave. Photos circulated online show young Chinese wearing scarves with patriotic slogans smashing Apple iPhones in protest.

Those from KFC and Apple try to be neutral and have not commented negatively on the incidents in China, but they certainly expect the authorities to protect their stores, but these protests demonstrate very clearly how much the companies can be affected, or from other countries, when states enter into international disputes.
