Those from Facebook I say that the change is based on the idea of providing relevant and interesting content for users, but in fact we are talking about new changes designed to take money out of the pockets of developers who have probably stopped investing in the promotion of posts in the largest social network of on the globe.
How will Facebook figure out what is of interest to us? Well, with the help of the Feed Quality Program, a large-scale study in which people declare which news are of the greatest interest to them, but the posts with a lot of likes, comments, etc., will anyway appear in the main part of News Feed.
Apart from these, the people at Facebook also take into account other data to determine what would be of interest to one user or another and to display that information with priority in the News Feed, but of course it is difficult to guess all the time what people want to see, except for making cat videos.
This change for the way the News Feed will work is already implemented and will be propagated to all users in the following days.
