The Instagram company is increasingly promoting video clips published by users within its multimedia content sharing network, the application for iPhone and iPod Touch will display a new channel with video events in the Explore menu, introduced this year in the application.
A few months ago Instagram added a special menu for videos in the Explore section, where videos are listed divided into 23 content categories, users being given the idea that they can also share videos, not just pictures, in within the Instagram network.
Things are changing again, and starting today, users who visit the Explore section of Instagram will be able to see a special channel in which videos of important world events from around the world are presented, from simple concerts to sports events, plays and more.
Basically, we can search for any kind of video clips that are related to certain events happening in certain locations around the globe and we can follow them directly in Instagram, as long as they have the correct hashtags, or users have allowed the use of the location to mark the area from which the clip was loaded.
The new video channel for events is available starting today for users in the US, and the rest of the world will be able to access it in the following period.
