Pokemon GO is in decline, users forget about the game

The decline of Pokemon GO has begun, with a third of the active users just a month ago disappearing from Niantic's servers, despite the launch in Asia.

The decline of Pokemon GO it started a few weeks ago, the number of daily active users in the application worldwide has dropped by approximately 15 million since the beginning of August. In the graph below you can see how the situation is, despite the fact that the Pokemon GO game was launched in many Asian markets this month.

In the middle of July Pokemon GO it had the highest number of daily active users, approximately 45 million, but the number is continuously decreasing. The decline of Pokemon GO was most likely due to the fact that many users started their summer vacations and forgot about the game, and the trend is reversible, if the game brings something interesting in the fall.

The fact that Niantic closed many websites that helped Pokemon GO users to discover Pokemon more easily contributed to this decrease, but this is not the main factor. The decline of Pokemon GO is surprising if we think about how popular it is in Asia and despite the fact that it was just launched there, the number of daily active users is decreasing.

The truth is that the decline of Pokemon GO had to happen at some point, but few people expected everything to happen so quickly. Even if it is in decline, the Pokemon GO game has already generated over 400 million dollars in its two months of availability, and very few game development companies can boast of such achievements.
