The Galaxy Note 8 borrows the dual camera from the iPhone 7 Plus

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is going to have a dual camera, like the iPhone 7 Plus, according to a Korean patent registered the other day.

Dual camera from 7 iPhone Plus is going to arrive in the future and its competitor on the market for global customers, more precisely Galaxy Note 8, the successor of the failure called Galaxy Note 7. A few weeks ago, the first rumors appeared suggesting that the Galaxy Note 8 will come with a dual camera, and now we have some confirmation for this.

More precisely, a patent registered by Samsung shortly after the presentation of the iPhone 7 suggests that a dual camera will be used in the Galaxy Note 8. In the patent registered for the time being only in South Korea for Samsung, a the new interface for the Camera application, which allows zooming in on photos.

The Camera application in current Samsung smartphones already has the option to zoom in on photos, but a Galaxy Note 8 with an optical zoom camera will need a different interface. Apple implemented changes to the iPhone 7 Plus's Camera app to implement this feature, so why wouldn't we see something similar on the Galaxy Note 8?

Of course, everyone's thoughts go to the Galaxy Note 8 for the implementation of this function, but it could just as easily end up in the Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8 Edge next year. These two smartphones will be released 4 months before the Galaxy Note 8, and Samsung will have a huge advantage over Apple if it manages to implement a dual camera in them.

This year, Samsung launched the Galaxy S7 Edge with an extraordinary camera, superior to those in the iPhone 6S or iPhone 6S Plus, but even superior to the one implemented in the iPhone 7. We do not know yet if it is better than the one in the iPhone 7 Plus, but big differences there is face of brother or smaller, so it remains to be seen what the experts will decide.

I would be happy to see a dual camera in the Galaxy S8 Edge because its implementation would put a lot of pressure on Apple to innovate more with the iPhone 8 Plus cameras. Of course, Samsung knows better how to implement its functions, but the sooner these dual cameras arrive in its products, the better it will be for us.
