Apple Pay was launched in Russia

Less than a week after the first rumors appeared suggesting that Apple Pay is going to be launched in Russia, well the event took place. Apple's new mobile payment system is now available in the country, but for now only through the Sberbank bank and only for customers with Mastercard cards.

The announcement was made by the bank itself, without Apple providing information on the availability of the service, especially since it is currently offered in a limited format. Even so, Apple Pay is now closer to Romania, but still in a rather surprising country, considering the conflicts with Europe and the USA.

Arriving in Russia, Apple Pay is now available in no less than 10 countries on the planet, the Apple company managing to expand the system with great difficulty. Considering that Apple has not officially announced the launch, it is not known when Apple Pay would be available at other banks, possibly also for customers who use VISA cards.

Apart from Russia, the Apple company will extend the availability of Apple Pay to other countries in Europe, but for now it is not known which they will be and when the service will be available.
