iPhone 7 jet black – the big problem with the case

The paint on the markings of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus jet black case is erased if a film is glued and peeled from the case.

About a week ago I told you that iPhone 7 jet black, glossy black, has a big problem in the sense that if you apply a foil to the case, the markings written on it disappear along with the foil. Then we also presented the video clip below that confirms the problem, and now we see that more and more people are reporting it in various online media.

Some users claim that the simple application of such a film and its removal will lead to the printing of the case markings on the film, even if it is peeled off immediately after gluing. In this situation, it is not necessary for the foil to spend a long period of time on the terminal, and the adhesive used for gluing seems to take over it, including the markings of the case.

The situation is one that we have not faced in the past, no matter what kind of paint Apple used for its iPhone terminals. Unfortunately, the jet black color, glossy black, seems to have markings made with a paint of a worse quality, which is, apparently, easy to peel off together with a foil applied to the case.

Those from Apple did not recognize the existence of the problem and although the markings become much harder to distinguish on the case after peeling off an applied foil, this is not a warranty problem. The Apple company will never admit that the paint used for the markings made on the iPhone 7 jet black case is of poor quality, but this will not affect the functionality of the terminals either.

Having said that, it remains to be seen how many people will complain about this problem and if Apple will take measures to correct it in the middle of the production process.
