Magic Toolbar – the name of the MacBook Pro 2016 OLED screen

Magic Toolbar is the name chosen by the Apple company for the OLED screen of the MacBook Pro 2016.

You already know that Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), intends to implement an OLED screen in MacBook Pro 2016, allowing the control of certain functions of the operating system, but also of applications. According to a brand patent discovered during this day, those from Apple intend to use the name Magic Toolbar for this new component.

The brand patent was registered at the beginning of February by a company called "Presto Apps America LLC", its registration costing no less than 16.000 dollars. The name Magic Toolbar is unlikely to be registered by a company other than Apple, so this is most likely a subsidiary of those from Cupertino.

Apple already has several products that contain the word "magic" in the name, so this Magic Toolbar would fit perfectly in the line of accessories for Mac. We are of course talking about Magic Mouse, Magic Touchpad and Magic Keyboard, so a Magic Toolbar would be a logical addition to the list of products that are exclusively dedicated to Macs.

Magic Toolbar – the name of the MacBook Pro 2016 OLED screen

This name Magic Toolbar is submitted for registration as a trademark in the USA, Indonesia, Canada and Malaysia, by the same lawyers who registered the name AirPods. If you need more evidence than this to be convinced that this name will be used in the MacBook Pro 2016, then you will have to wait until October 27.

"They would almost certainly be able to stop any other company applying for the trademark 'Magic Toolbar', on the basis it's similar to their existing trademarks and likely to cause confusion. So, another company would have to be 100% certified insane to spend €16,000 in outlay for a trademark application that someone with the clout of Apple was almost certain to be able to object to and defeat. And that's the main reason that I'm putting my neck on the line and saying that 'Presto Apps America LLC' is actually Apple."

In the evening of October 27, Apple will hold a conference during which it will officially present the 2016 versions of the MacBook Pro, MacBook Air and perhaps the iMac or Mac Mini. The conference will be broadcast live by those from Cupertino, and I will return with more details about this a little later.
