Dr. Dre is accused of trying to kill Suge Knight

Dr. Dre, co-founder of Beats, and well-known manager at Apple, is accused in a new trial of trying to kill a former partner. We are talking about Suge Knight, he stating that Dr. Dre had to pay him 300 million dollars out of the 3.4 billion paid by the Apple company for Beats.

According to Knight, he would have had a management contract, "for life", with Dr. Dre that gave him the right to receive 30% of Dre's earnings from entertainment. Based on this contract, he demands 300 million dollars from the former rapper and current manager of Apple Music, the dispute between them becoming bloody at one point.

Dr. Dre is accused by Knight of trying to trick him and not pay him the 300 million dollars owed, and part of the Apple manager's motivation could be based on the fact that no one in Cupertino wants him as a brand Apple to be associated with Suge Knight's, something very easy to understand, considering its history.

The first problems started with this money, in 2015 Knight tried to talk to Dr. Dre and Ice Cube while they were recording a promotional material for the movie Straight Outta Compton. Visiting the location, Knight was seen running over two people present there with his car, one of them dying from his injuries.

When questioned by the police, Knight claimed that one of the men had been paid $300.000 by Dr. Dre and Universal Studios to kill him. Dre's lawyer stated that his client has not had any contact with Knight since 1996 and that he will fight in court to remove all these accusations against the rapper.

Those from Apple have not commented on the situation, but they will probably carefully monitor the process and try to avoid associating the brand with a case of this kind. It is not excluded that Dr. Dre does a step back so that the Apple brand is not affected, but it remains to be seen what will happen.
