Jony Ive oversees the design development of Apple products

Yesterday, a series of information appeared that suggested that Jony Ive, the company's famous designer Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC),, is no longer so involved in the development of the design of future products. Although he leads the entire design division of the Apple company, some say that his time was mainly spent creating designs for the new stores, but also the new campus.

Many people began to draw the conclusion that Jony Ive is going to leave Apple in the near future and that these changes are intended to make the transition much easier. Faced with these speculations, the Apple company reacted and indirectly conveyed to the press the fact that everything is still going on normally within its design division.

Although Jony Ive mainly devotes his time to focus on the design of the new Apple stores and campus, he still oversees the design development of other products. Ive does not get involved as much as in the future and does not follow the daily evolution of product design, but supervises the general evolution to the same extent.

At the moment, it seems that Jony Ive is tired of industrial design and tries to occupy his time with projects that seem more interesting to him, architecture being one of them. What impact does this have on Apple? Well, look at the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 6 and you will understand why the world is worried about what Ive is doing now.

"Importantly, I've also heard from well-placed sources within Apple that there is nothing to this — that while Ive is devoting much of his time and attention to architecture recently (both for the new campus and Apple retail), every aspect of every new product remains as much under his watchful eye as ever."
