Microsoft Surface Phone - technical specifications

The technical specifications of the Microsoft Surface Phone were revealed by a source within the company, and they are in line with expectations.

The other day the president Microsoft brought back the rumors regarding the launch of a Surface Phone smartphone, and now we also learn new information regarding its technical specifications. This information comes, apparently, from a source within the Microsoft company, so theoretically it should be as real as possible, but we will find out the truth only next year.

According to this source, the Surface Phone will have an integrated Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chip, but it will also benefit from the Quick Charge 4.0 fast charging system. Windows 10 Mobile will be the operating system it will run, as expected, Microsoft using it in all the smartphones launched in recent years on the market.

Microsoft will launch two models of the Surface Phone, both with the same type of processor, but one will have 4 GB of RAM and the other will have 6 GB of RAM, so the performances will be different. Nothing is known yet about the processor that will be integrated, but it will probably have good enough performance, but not the best on the market.

Regarding the screen, both Surface Phone models should have 5.5-inch screens with a QHD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, like all competing Android smartphones. The even more interesting part is that Microsoft wants to make the Surface Phone a 3-in-1 product, with the help of at least one special accessory.

More precisely, Microsoft wants to launch an accessory that allows the use of the Surface Phone as a laptop, but it could have other surprises in store for us. Those from Microsoft place great emphasis on the versatility of their own products, so other surprises could be announced from this point of view, products with multiple functionality being very popular.

Having said that, the Surface Phone should be released at the end of next year, but by then it could become technologically outdated.
