The Galaxy S8 is going to be one of the very few premium smartphones that has an integrated autofocus camera by Samsung. At the moment there are very few Android terminals that have such a function, iPhone terminals being devoid of such a function, they only have one that recognizes the faces of the users.
Those from Samsung still want to offer more functionality for the main camera and the possibility to record better quality photos, so it will have autofocus. To implement such functionality, it is necessary to offer a front camera that takes up more space inside the Galaxy S8 case, but the compromise will probably attract a lot of praise.
A front camera with autofocus will allow Galaxy S8 users to take much clearer and better quality photos, but for now everything is just a rumor. Samsung produces cameras and is capable of developing a component of this kind on its own, so it would not be difficult for it to do it, but it all depends on the production costs of the new smartphone.
Most smartphone manufacturers have avoided offering such a camera due to the higher production costs, but also the small space inside the device cases. For the Galaxy S8, it seems that things will be different, and Samsung will announce everything at a conference to be held in March.
