An Apple Watch with a round screen could be released

The Apple Watch with a round screen appears in two patents of the Apple company, those from Cupertino considering its production.

Un Apple Watch with a round screen could be launched by the Apple company on global markets in the not too distant future, or at least that is what two patents registered today to the Apple company suggest. It describes an Apple Watch whose screen is circular, just like those of Android smartwatches, not square like the current smartwatch.

Although those from Apple did not suggest at one point or another the fact that an Apple Watch with a round screen could appear on the market, here this is taken into account. Those from Apple would have to rethink a good part of the watchOS interface to launch such a device, but the effort will probably be one that will be worth doing.

Many Apple fans wondered when such a product could reach the market, but so far there has been no information about its appearance. These patents don't give us a possible release date either, but Apple needs something new for the Apple Watch line, so we might not have long to wait.

The shape of the Apple Watch screen has not bothered many people until now, and this is because the screen is capable of displaying much more information than a circular one. A change to such a model would represent a setback for the series, but Apple will probably find a way to present everything as an advantage.

"The array of pixels may have a shape such as a circular shape or another shape with a curved edge. Display driver circuitry may supply data signals to the pixels using folded vertical data lines and bisected horizontal gate lines. Each folded vertical lines may have a first segment in a left half of the array and a second segment in a right half of the display."

Having said that, would you like to see an Apple Watch with a circular screen ever released?
