The Galaxy Note 7 continues to cause big problems for the Samsung company, in South Korea 2400 people initiated a lawsuit demanding damages due to the problems suffered after using the terminal. The Samsung company is tired of offering compensation because of the smartphone it launched like a time bomb, and now it will have to defend itself in court.
The 2400 people are demanding $426 each from the Samsung company as compensation for the time and money lost because of this smartphone. Some of the customers are also asking for compensation for the mental trauma and physical problems suffered due to the Galaxy Note 7, the Samsung company refusing to offer money to the affected customers.
All these clients demand a total of 1.022.400 dollars from the Samsung company, a large amount if we think that granting it could motivate other people to ask for money. Samsung is in an extremely delicate situation because a customer victory could bring other lawsuits in the courts in South Korea, but also in other areas of the globe.
Defending itself in front of this process, the Samsung company stated that it has already granted sufficient compensation to its customers and that it is not necessary to offer more. The attitude is understandable, if we think about what could give rise to an "avalanche" of compensation requests, perhaps even greater than those that these clients from South Korea want.
"We gave enough compensations and benefits to Note 7 consumers. The damages consumers are claiming are within the range that is endurable."
