iOS 10.2 was released by the Apple company together with watchOS 3.1.1, the new versions of the operating system can be installed by users right now. The problem is, however, that watchOS 3.1.1 breaks some Apple Watch 2 at the time of installation, they display an alert on the screens like the one in the image below.
The problem leads to the complete breakdown of the Apple Watch and the need for the entire smart watch to be changed by the Apple company. Apple stores and authorized services cannot repair the Apple Watch 2 in front of customers, so all defective units are sent to the Apple company and either replaced or restored through the diagnostic port.
These problems with watchOS 3.1.1 affect only the Apple Watch 2 and only some of the models sold by Apple. Not all users woke up with these watches blocked, many managed to update, while Apple Watch 1 and the initial version can update without the slightest effort, although sometimes it takes a little longer.
The Apple company has not yet acknowledged the problems of watchOS 3.1.1 nor those of Apple Watch 2, the update being still available to everyone. Unfortunately, this has the effect of breaking several watches, but Apple has enough resources to solve users' problems, even if it will generate a lot of frustration.
