Twitter Live has been launched worldwide

Twitter Live is the version for the Twitter application of a live video streaming system from mobile terminals, which was launched today by the American company. With the hashtag #golive, Twitter has launched a new feature that allows any user to broadcast live using the platform with over 200 million monthly users.

The live broadcast function now available for Twitter is offered thanks to the fact that in 2013 the company acquired Periscope, a service dedicated to this type of broadcasts. Periscope was finally integrated into the Twitter application, 3 years after the acquisition, so now everyone will be able to broadcast live whatever they are doing.

To initiate a live broadcast, a user only needs to access the message writing interface and press the Live button available there. Both Twitter and Periscope users can see the broadcasts live on their own terminals, so everyone can enjoy the content regardless of which application they use daily.

After Facebook and Instagram, Twitter is the third largest platform that allows live video transmissions from smartphones or tablets. WhatsApp will follow with this new feature, but until then, Twitter is expanding the availability of the system to all users in the following days.
