Pokemon GO increases the physical activities of users

Pokemon GO, the most popular game of 2016, is at the center of an extremely interesting new study, researchers discovering that it stimulates physical activity. We are of course talking about the British researchers, who analyzed the usual activity of young people between the ages of 18 and 35 while they were playing Pokemon GO on their smartphone.

According to the researchers, young people became much more physically active as long as they played Pokemon GO, and this is because they were always looking for creatures. According to the researchers, when they had Pokemon GO installed, young people took up to 1000 more steps than when they did not have the game installed on their phones.

Moreover, during the period when the Pokemon GO game was installed in the terminals, users spent 11 minutes more time walking every day. Of course, 6 weeks after uninstalling the Pokemon GO game from the terminals, the users returned to their previous laziness and substantially reduced the level of physical activities done daily.

The British researchers included in this study no less than 560 players of Pokemon GO, but also 622 people who had never played this game before. Of course, no study was needed to find out that running after pokemons every day will generate an increase in physical activities, but this is how Pokemon GO is once again in the center of attention.
