Anonymous sources within Samsung confirmed this information for the South Korean press, the whole world has been waiting for months for an outcome of this tragedy.

Samsung announced in October that it is initiating an extensive investigation to find out the real cause of the Galaxy Note 7 battery explosions, after saying that it had initially solved the problem. After this second failure, the Galaxy Note 7 was definitively withdrawn from the market, almost all terminals being returned to the Samsung company until the end of 2016.

With approximately 5.1 billion dollars lost due to the Galaxy Note 7, those from Samsung wanted to find out the real cause of the problem in order to be able to launch a perfect Galaxy S8. Although it initially announced that it would announce the result of its investigation by the end of 2016, Samsung decided to make this announcement only this month.

Various theories stated that the whole cause of the problem is based on the fact that Samsung "crammed" too large batteries into too small a case. In reality, for now we don't know what exactly was the basis of all these problems, but those from Samsung will reveal the mystery until the end of January, so we will learn more about what happened.
