The Galaxy Note 8 will have a 4K screen for VR

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will have a 4K screen for virtual reality, Samsung implementing a major change for the future terminal.

Galaxy Note 8 will be released in the second part of next year and according to some information that appeared during this day, it will have a 4K screen. The inclusion of this screen is done, in theory, to improve the virtual reality experience for future customers of the terminal, and a Galaxy Note 8 with such a component could be extremely interesting.

In the Galaxy Note 7, Samsung used screens with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, but in the Galaxy Note 8, it will switch to those with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels. The jump for Galaxy Note 8 will be an impressive one, but it will also need custom video cards to be able to support the interface and the games that will be run on it, otherwise the experience will be bad.

Android terminals do not have high-performance video cards, and this is noticeable in games, so the transition to 4K screens for the Galaxy Note 8 will have to be done carefully. If Samsung will not have good enough hardware to support a 4K screen in the Galaxy Note 8, then a lot of people will be disappointed by what the terminal will offer after the official launch.

The Galaxy Note 8 could be, however, just one of the smartphones with a 4K screen launched in 2017, as many manufacturers are looking more closely at virtual reality. The current screens, with a resolution of almost 2K, do not offer a great experience for virtual reality headsets, and Samsung wants to change that with the Galaxy Note 8 in 2017.

"Samsung will introduce 2K resolution displays in the Galaxy S8, but it will use 4K resolution displays in the Galaxy Note 8 to realize improved virtual reality (VR) functions. I heard that it will connect with the new Gear VR wearable.”

Samsung is most likely developing a special virtual reality headset for the Galaxy Note 8 for the new 4K screen with a much better resolution. Combining all this, the Galaxy Note 8 should bring many attractive novelties for customers, but it remains to be seen what the selling price of the future device will be.
