AirPods accounted for a quarter of online sales of Bluetooth headphones

Online sales of Bluetooth headphones in the US have far surpassed sales of wired headphones, and AirPods seem to be in high demand among those who are interested in buying such products. According to a recent study published in the US, it seems that AirPods have accounted for 26% of Bluetooth headset sales from the time of their official launch until now.

In the image below you can see this study, it presents the sales of Bluetooth headphones before the launch of AirPods, but also after the appearance of this product. As you can see, sales of Beats headphones dropped considerably after the launch of AirPods, Jaybird or Planctronics headphones suffered the same fate, while Bose recorded a serious increase.

However, AirPods stole sales from many other manufacturers, eventually reaching 26% of the total online sales of Bluetooth headphones in the US. Although a lot of people complained about the fact that AirPods are useless and very expensive, there are still many other people who bought the new Apple product.

Of course, Apple refuses to provide sales figures for AirPods from the moment they were launched on the market until now, but that's because we're talking about a product from a new category. Apple doesn't normally disclose sales for such products, but AirPods sales seem to be pretty good.
