macOS warns you when your Mac is consuming too much power

As part of attempts to forget the scandal regarding the low battery autonomy of the new MacBook Pro 2016, the Apple company made an interesting change in macOS. Starting with the latest beta version of the operating system, the Apple company also tells us when the laptop screen consumes a lot of battery power during operation.

Although until now the Apple company lists only the applications that have a very high energy consumption when using Macs, now the screen is also listed. The alert appears when the brightness of the MacBook screen is set to a value higher than 75%, so Apple recommends using laptops with a maximum brightness of 75%.

Listing the MacBook screen as the source that consumes a lot of energy also comes with the possibility to click on it, at that moment the brightness is automatically set to a maximum of 75%. Even installing the fourth beta version of macOS Sierra 10.12.3 will automatically set the brightness to 75%, so Apple does not believe that Macs should be used with the screen brightness set to maximum.

Of course, there are people who want to use their laptops with maximum brightness, but in this situation, they must know that they will have high energy consumption. When a Mac is used outside, it may be necessary to set the maximum brightness for the screen, but in dark spaces, a lower brightness would be more suitable.
