Tim Cook, a well-known opponent of Donald Trump, seems to have no choice after the election of the latter as president of the USA and finds himself forced to fulfill some of his demands. In this idea, he met today with Ivanka Trump, the daughter of the US president, and her husband, Jared Kushner, senior adviser to Donald Trump.
Tim Cook came to the meeting in an exclusive Washington restaurant together with Lisa Jackson, the vice president who leads the division that enforces environmental protection policies. No one knows what the 4 discussed, but Jackson is used to meetings of this kind, as she was the administrator of the environmental protection agency during one of Barack Obama's mandates.
Although the details of the meeting are not known, Tim Cook is most likely trying to find out how he could avoid the manufacture of iPhones in the US and the substantial increase in production prices. Considering that Donald Trump does not have so much time available for meetings, the president of Apple has to settle for one of his daughters.
If Hillary Clinton had been elected president of the USA, Tim Cook would have had a much easier life, but with Donald Trump he has to work in a different way. Meetings of this kind will take place in the future, even with Donald Trump, so it will be interesting to see how things will evolve.
