iPhone 7 Plus confirms customers' inclination towards large screens

iPhone 7 Plus proved to be an unexpectedly great success from the moment of its launch on the market until now, despite all expectations. If the previous models of iPhone terminals with 5.5-inch screens did not register spectacular sales, the iPhone 7 Plus shows us the inclination of customers towards smartphones with large screens.

According to some American analysts, the iPhone 7 Plus represented 40% of the total sales of iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus terminals in Q4 2016. The percentage is very high and if we look at the iPhone 6 series where the large model represented 17% of sales , or the iPhone 6S where the percentage was 23%, then we realize how popular the iPhone 7 Plus is.

This very high interest in the iPhone 7 Plus could be based on the dual camera and that extra GB of RAM, but for Apple everything means higher revenues. By selling more smartphones with a larger screen, the Apple company collects even more money, considering that the difference between the production price of the two models is smaller than the difference required in stores.

Although last week some analysts stated that the average selling price of the iPhone is going to decrease in Q4 2016 compared to Q4 2015, now we find out exactly the opposite. Instead of going down by 3 dollars, the price would increase by 2 dollars from 691 dollars to 693 dollars, and all mostly thanks to the iPhone 7 Plus terminal.

Starting with iPhone 6 Plus, the Apple company thought of differentiating the models with 4.7 inch and 5.5 inch screens, the camera being the only component with differences until iPhone 7. In the iPhone 7 Plus, Apple has also implemented an additional GB of RAM, plus a new function for the camera, and these differences are going to grow.

In order to increase its revenue and convince more people to buy the Plus models of the iPhone, the Apple company will implement more functions in them compared to the smaller ones. iPhone 8 will most likely be a third model in the series, with even more important functions, so it will be interesting to see how things will evolve in the end.
