Apple thought of a pair of headphones that turn into speakers

An extremely interesting patent was registered to the Apple company, describing a pair of headphones that can be transformed into speakers when needed. The headphones can be standard, or in the ear, and in just a few movements they can be transformed into a pair of speakers, depending on the needs of the user to play sounds.

The new Apple headphones are similar to other similar products on the market, so we are not talking about some extravagant design thought by Americans. However, Apple thought of implementing special sensors and circuits for sound amplification, which facilitate the use of these headphones as speakers by users.

To control the level of the sounds emitted by the speakers, the Apple company uses a series of sensors that determine the orientation of the headphones and the distance from the head. In this idea, if they have an object very close, they will play the sounds at a power suitable for an ear, and if there are no objects around them, they will play them at a higher intensity.

Of course, these headphones also have a special setting that forces playback to the maximum value through the speakers, so they can even be placed next to each other. The whole system described by the Apple company is very interesting and a pair of headphones of this kind could be extremely successful, but that is if they will ever be launched on global markets.

"Dual mode headphones, and methods for constructing the same are provided. Headphones can be connected to an electronic device to provide an audio output. The headphones can include a transducer or other component for providing sound waves at appropriate levels near a user's ear. To provide audio as a speaker, however, circuitry in the headphones can include a powered amplifier that may be selectively used."
