Apple has pulled LG's new 5K UltraFine monitor from sale

Together with the MacBook Pro 2016, the Apple company also put on sale a new 5K UltraFine monitor developed in collaboration with those from LG, its role being to allow the use of the new laptop at maximum capacity. After a delayed release, the new 5K UltraFine monitor from LG is only for sale in the Apple online store.

Those from Apple made the decision to suspend sales of the new LG 5K UltraFine monitor due to some problems that prevented its use. Specifically, many users reported that the LG 5K UltraFine monitor had problems with image interruptions, interference from routers placed near it, plus a few other minor issues.

A varied range of problems have been reported for this LG 5K UltraFine monitor and although the Apple company wanted to avoid selling monitors, it still has problems with those of its partners. Considering that the LG 5K UltraFine monitor costs 1000 dollars, you can imagine what the customers could say to the employees of the support teams.

It is also hard to imagine how a 1000 dollar monitor can be sold with such problems and how they were not discovered during the testing periods. However, considering that we are talking about a monitor produced by LG, there is a chance that they did not attach much importance to the quality of the finished product delivered to customers.

"We have been made aware that the LG UltraFine 27-inch 5K display (model 27MD5K) may experience performance issues caused by signal interference when a Wi-Fi access point is positioned behind the display within a distance of 2 feet (0.6 meters). Changing the location or positioning of either the router or the display should resolve the issue."
