iPhone 8 - here's what battery it will have

The iPhone 8 will have a battery with a capacity of approximately 2700 mAh, although its dimensions will be similar to those of the iPhone 7 with a 4.7-inch screen.

iPhone 8 is again in the center of our attention, information regarding the battery of the future device coming today from the renowned Asian analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. According to him, the iPhone 8 will have the dimensions of an iPhone 7 with a 4.7-inch screen, but it will have an integrated 2700 mAh battery similar to the one in the iPhone 7 Plus, so we are talking about something that some have been waiting for years.

In order to be able to integrate such a large battery in the iPhone 8, the Apple company will use a new type of logic board, and the result will be one to measure. By integrating a 2700 mAh battery into a 4.7-inch smartphone, the Apple company will ensure that the iPhone 8 will have a much better battery life than the iPhone 7, especially since it will have an OLED screen.

Of course, the viability of integrating such a large battery in such a small smartphone is under discussion, the chances of the iPhone 8 having such a large battery are still high. All the rumors that appeared so far suggested that the iPhone 8 will have similar dimensions, if not identical to those of the iPhone 7 Plus, but nothing is 100% certain.

iPhone 8 - here's what battery it will have

Considering the growing popularity of smartphones with large screens, releasing the iPhone 8 only in a version similar in size to the iPhone 7 seems an illogical decision. We know from various rumors that the iPhone 8 will be launched in a single model by the Apple company, so now it is logically assumed that only the one similar to the iPhone 7 will appear.

This rumor suggests that the iPhone 8 will have similar dimensions to the iPhone 7, not the iPhone 7 Plus, but I think it's unlikely that this will happen. I think that the iPhone 8 will be big and it will be expensive, probably bigger than the iPhone 7 Plus, and that's because people want smartphones with increasingly large screens at the moment.

"As battery material tech isn't likely to see major breakthroughs in the next 3-5 years, mainboard area can only be reduced via stacked SLP, which makes space for larger batteries and extended usage time. Thanks to stacked SLP, we expect the OLED iPhone to have similar dimensions to a 4.7" TFT-LCD iPhone, and have comparable battery capacity (equipped with around 2,700 mAh L-shaped 2-cell battery pack) to a 5.5" TFT-LCD iPhone. The battery life of the OLED iPhone could be better than that of the 5.5" TFT-LCD model as OLED panels are more energy-efficient than their TFT-LCD counterparts."

If the iPhone 8 will really have such a large battery in such a small format, then we are really talking about an impressive achievement by the Apple company. What do you think ?
