Android Ore could be the new name of the major update that Google is preparing to launch for its operating system this year. The information is based on a Google company manager, who in a tweet made it clear that Android Ore will be the name the American company will use for the update.
Rumors regarding the release of Android Oreo this year appeared many months ago, and the manager could now suggest that they would be 100% real. Of course, no one can confirm this with certainty and there is a chance that Android Oreo will remain just a simple rumor, but on the other hand there is a chance that Google will use the name.
Although Oreo is a brand known all over the world, using the name for Android Oreo would not be impossible, especially since in the past Google used the name KitKat. However, the simple presentation of an Oreo cake by a Google manager is not a 100% clear confirmation that Google will release Android Oreo this year.
The Google manager has published various "confirmations" of this kind for Google product names in the past, but they were false, but many see this as a confirmation of the Android Oreo release coming from the vice president of the Android division. Google will hold its annual I/O conference at the beginning of next month, and Android Oreo could be officially presented then.
