iOS 10.2 helps you connect an iPhone to a network cable

iOS 10.2 comes with a very interesting novelty for iPhone or iPad tablet users, more precisely it brings a special menu to manage network connections. Called Ethernet, it appears only when we have a network cable connected to an iPhone, which is connected to a router or modem, to facilitate data transfer.

Whether we are talking about simply connecting to surf the Internet, or to transfer files, the Ethernet menu appears every time we connect a network cable. In the video clip below you can see how everything works, the new Ethernet menu displaying the same options as the Wi-Fi one, to allow us to make a configuration in order to use the Internet.

The biggest problem, however, is given by the fact that to be able to connect a network cable to the iPhone, at least one special adapter is needed. The Apple company does not allow the direct connection of a network cable to the iPhone, so you will have to use Lightning adapters, or USB adapters, connected to other Lightning adapters, to be inserted into the iPhone.

After solving these "logistics" problems, you will be able to surf the Internet even from your iPhone or iPad, if you don't have a router that offers you a Wi-Fi HotSpot. Of course, this is not the most convenient way to use the Internet, but at least now you know how you can configure a network connection on the iPhone thanks to the Apple company.
