Americans have to choose between iPhone and health insurance

Americans with low incomes in the US will have to choose between buying an iPhone or having health insurance, according to a republican congressman. Jason Chaffetz is the congressman in question, he is of the opinion that the purchase of iPhone terminals is the main reason why some Americans cannot afford to pay for medical insurance.

Jason Chaffetz made this statement in an interview with CNN, talking about the new medical legislation designed to replace Obamacare. The Republican view is that Americans should spend less money on the things they love and more money to ensure their health.

iPhone terminals are sold in the US at prices that start at approximately 720 dollars, and about the same amount Americans should pay monthly for medical insurance. Costs vary depending on the area where Americans live, but comparing the cost of a device purchased annually, or semi-annually, with the monthly cost of medical insurance is a bit stupid.

Opponents of the Republicans, however, have a different opinion and praise the Apple Watch, plus the iPhone, saying that they are better than the medical legislation proposed by the Republican party. In the end, everything is a political fight between the democrat and republican parties, but comparisons of this kind bring political people to the attention of the media, even if not in a positive way.

"You know what, Americans have choices. And they've got to make a choice," the House Oversight Committee chairman told CNN's 'New Day,' one day after the House GOP unveiled its plan to replace ObamaCare. And so maybe, rather than getting that new iPhone that they just love and they want to spend hundreds of dollars on, maybe they should invest in their own healthcare."
