Ink Hunter, the application with which you can test a tattoo before making it

If you are planning to get a tattoo but you are still not sure about it, the Ink Hunter application will help you.

Ink Hunter is an application available in Appstpre that aims to help you decide what and where to tattoo, without regretting that you tattooed what/where you shouldn't.

The application includes a selection of designs from different tattoo artists that you can try. You can also upload your own sketches in the application to see if it is worth getting the tattoo you want permanently on your skin.

We are involving tattoo artists to connect them with our users. In doing so, our app will become a funnel which starts with people who are just thinking about tattoo and ends with those, who are confident in the tattoo they want and artists who can get it done.

With a simple touch, the application asks you to put some ink on the skin and then you draw a smiling emoticon where you want the tattoo to appear. Then you choose from a range of options what you want to see, from animals to quotes.

Built by a team of software engineers based in the Ukraine, InkHunter started life as an idea born out of a 48 hour hackathon back in July 2014. Two of the original team decided to continue with the project after that, rewriting, redesigning and launched an MVP as an iOS app around two weeks ago — so, caveat, it is still a little rough around the edges. And doesn't always position your potential tat quite where you'd want it to go. But hey, this is only digital ink so it doesn't really matter if things go a little wonky.
