Samsung Galaxy S8 vs iPhone 7 Plus – the bend test

The Samsung Galaxy S8 appears today in a comparison designed to show us if it bends more easily than the iPhone 7 Plus, the test result being a completely unexpected one.

Samsung Galaxy S8 and iPhone 7 Plus appear today in a test designed to show us how easily the two premium smartphones that are fighting for the attention of the whole world bend. The tests regarding the resistance of smartphones to bending appeared after the iPhone 6 Plus proved to be very easy to bend, now the Samsung Galaxy S8 is being tested to see if it is just as fragile.

As you can see in the video clip below, both the Samsung Galaxy S8 and the iPhone 7 Plus initially went through an impact resistance test, so none of them are intact. Despite this, the bending resistance of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and iPhone 7 Plus should not be affected enough for the terminals to become more fragile when bending than they would have been initially.

Well, the first one tested is the iPhone 7 Plus, the terminal bending extremely easily compared to the Samsung Galaxy S8, and to be honest, I didn't expect that. We saw last fall that the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus withstand bending tests very well, but this pink version turns out to be much more fragile compared to the Samsung Galaxy S8, but also to the models released last year.

Samsung Galaxy S8 vs iPhone 7 Plus – the bend test

The Samsung Galaxy S8, on the other hand, proves to be extremely resistant to bending, despite the fact that both the case and the screen are cracked after the impact resistance tests. As you will see, the application of pressure by hand only leads to a slight arching of the Samsung Galaxy S8 case, but the terminal does not bend as hard as the iPhone 7 Plus, the case refusing to separate.

You can notice that the tester tries hard to bend the Samsung Galaxy S8, but fails to do so, a sign that the terminal has a very resistant case. In fact, we have repeatedly seen over time that Samsung terminals are very resistant to tests of this kind, and the Samsung Galaxy S8 does not distinguish itself from what Samsung has launched in the past for customers.

Practically, all those who will buy a Samsung Galaxy S8 from the Samsung company will be able to rest easy because their terminals have little chance of bending. In this idea, there is the possibility to soon see more evidence of the fragility of the iPhone terminals compared to the Samsung Galaxy S8.
