Orange Bank is the first digital bank announced by the Orange mobile operator, Stéphane Richard, the president of the group, making the announcement today. Orange Bank will be launched this summer by Orange and the idea itself seems quite interesting.
The French will be the first to enjoy Orange Bank, the system being based on the operator's existing financial services, such as Orange Money. Customers will also have a bank card and will be able to make payments just like with any other card, but Orange Bank will have the advantage of offering easier access to account information through a dedicated application.
Just like at other banks, all payments will appear in the Orange Bank application immediately after they are made, so we are not talking about something completely new here. Orange Bank customers will also be able to make money transfers through simple messages, and support for mobile payments via NFC will also be possible using Orange Cash on Android, or Apple Pay on iPhone, but only in certain countries.

Orange stores will allow customers to register for Orange Bank, the accounts being created free of charge, even for those who are not customers of the operator. Administration fees for Orange Bank accounts will be non-existent as long as there are constant monthly transactions, so here the service could have a big advantage over classic banks.
Orange Bank will operate through Orange stores during the day, but at night a customer help system based on IBM Watson artificial intelligence will ensure that some problems will be solved. The launch of Orange Bank will take place on July 6 in France, and in the future it will also be able to offer loans or insurance services, so it will become a bank in the true sense of the word.
It is not yet known in what form Orange Bank will arrive in Romania, or exactly when, but maybe next year we will have some of the services available in our country as well. Most of the news announced for Orange Bank are already offered in Romania by any other bank, so it remains to be seen what kind of news Orange could bring to our country.
