Apple provides heat for Danes' homes

Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), for several years, he has put a lot of emphasis on protecting the planet, and his initiatives have been integrated including in a data center that he recently opened in Denmark. According to some information that appeared recently, the Apple company uses part of the heat generated by its data center in Denmark to provide energy for nearby houses.

Apple's data center is located in the Jutland region and part of its electricity will in the future come from the recycling of waste produced by farmers in the area. Apple is working with Aarhaus University to develop a system that turns agricultural waste into methane gas, which is in turn used to produce electricity.

Part of this waste is also transformed into fertilizer for the farmers' crops in the area, so Apple offers them not only heat, but also fertilizer for the crops. Apple's investment amounts to 950 million dollars in the area and is the largest ever made in Denmark, so Apple is seriously spending money in Europe, setting some records.

The ideas of those from Apple to provide heat and fertilizer for farmers are most probably related to their persuasion to accept the development of the investment. Apple had problems opening a data center in Ireland because of the locals, so in Denmark it is careful not to upset anyone and help the farmers around the data center.

"The data center in the Jutland region will be partially powered by recycling waste products from farms. Apple is working with Aarhus University on a system that passes agricultural waste through a digester to generate methane, which is then used to help power the data center. The digester reaction turns some of the waste into nutrient-rich fertilizer, which Apple returns to local farmers to use on their fields."
