Apple announces the extension of the Apple Watch warranty

Apple officially announced yesterday the extension of the warranty for the Apple Watch, the move being a complete surprise for those from Cupertino. We are talking about a measure designed to ensure the customers of the first model of the Apple Watch another year of warranty in case they have problems with the battery used in the smartwatch.

Apple normally only offers a 1-year warranty for its products, but in the case of inflated batteries it offers an additional year, so in the case of the Apple Watch, the warranty increases by another 1 year. This suggests that there have been cases in which Apple Watch batteries swelled and either exploded or destroyed only the case of the products, otherwise Apple would not have made the decision to extend the warranty.

Several users have complained online about issues with swollen Apple Watch batteries, but the problem doesn't seem to affect that many people, judging by online testimonials. However, since Apple made such a radical decision, it is clear that the problem is more serious than it seems at first glance.

Considering that the Apple Watch was launched on April 25, 2015, it was normal for Apple to now make the announcement regarding the extension of the warranty, considering that for those who bought it then, it expired the other day.
