Apple has a huge cash reserve at the moment

Yesterday Apple announced its financial results for Q1 2017, and according to those from Cupertino, the company currently has a monetary reserve of 256.8 billion dollars. We are talking about a huge amount that far exceeds the stock market capitalization of some of Apple's competitors, most of it being collected in the last 7 years.

Of all this money, 239 billion dollars are located outside the US, so approximately 93% of the total is kept by those from Apple away from the country from which they started. Of course, not all of this amount is made up of cash, the vast majority being long-term investments that Apple has made in various forms in the countries where it operates.

The total amount held by the Apple company in its monetary reserve is more than 9 billion dollars higher than the one recorded at the end of last year. Considering that Apple recorded a profit of 11 billion dollars in the first quarter of this year, it was normal for the reserve to grow by such a high value and things will not stop here.

If Apple continues at the same pace, by the end of the year it could reach a monetary reserve of almost 280 billion dollars. No one knows what will happen with all this money, but Apple has enough resources to do absolutely anything it wants.
