OnePlus 5 will be launched in the summer of this year by the OnePlus company, confirming for the whole world the intentions regarding the future of its smartphone. Expectations are very high from OnePlus 5, and this is because we are talking about a premium smartphone that will have to be cheap and fight with iPhone 7 or Samsung Galaxy S8 on global markets.
Although for now not much is known about the OnePlus 5, a pair of sketches published directly from China reveal a possible extremely interesting innovation. More precisely, according to these sketches, the OnePlus 5 will be the first smartphone equipped with four cameras, and in the images below you will see how this model should look.
We are talking about a dual camera integrated in the OnePlus 5 case, as the premium smartphones of the moment have, which will be easily protruded from the outside of the case. Separately, there is a dual front camera for the OnePlus 5, which is the same thing that the Apple company would like to implement in the iPhone 8 terminal from the fall of this year.
OnePlus 5 – the first smartphone with 4 cameras
If the OnePlus 5 will be the first to be launched on the market and will really have 4 cameras, then those from Apple will not be able to say that the iPhone 8 is the first terminal with such innovations. However, it is hard to believe that the OnePlus 5 will have a dual 3D camera in the front case, as will happen with the iPhone 8, so it remains to be seen what its cameras will be useful for.
No one expects OnePlus 5 to come with major innovations, but only to offer performance as good as premium smartphones, but at much lower prices. In this idea, the OnePlus company will probably not "force the mark" with the OnePlus 5 and will not increase the final selling price just to have 4 cameras in this device.
OnePlus 5 appeared yesterday in a benchmark that already confirmed to us that its performance will be better than that of iPhone 7 or Samsung Galaxy S8. If the OnePlus 5 will also have these 4 cameras, then a lot of people will be pleasantly impressed by the achievement of the OnePlus company, but I would not have high hopes that this will happen.
