iPhone 8 – Touch ID technology remains a mystery

iPhone 8 still does not have the Touch ID technology finalized by the Apple company, three options remain possible, one to be chosen in June.

iPhone 8 which would not have finalized all the details regarding the production, the Apple company seems not to have determined for now in which way it will implement Touch ID for customers. An American analyst who spoke with partners of the Apple company claims that until the end of June there are still three options for the implementation of Touch ID in the iPhone 8 from which Apple can still choose.

For the integration of Touch ID in the iPhone 8 screen, the analyst describes either an optical solution, an ultrasonic solution, or a solution with infrared technology. Regardless of the solution that Apple would use for Touch ID in iPhone 8, it is clear that we will not have the fingerprint reader integrated in the case, or if you like unusual theories, in the Power button.

Regardless of the solution chosen for the implementation of Touch ID in the iPhone 8 case, the Apple company would face a delay of up to 2 months in the production of the terminal. The analyst estimates that Apple could produce up to 46 million iPhone 8 terminals this year, but the figure depends on the number of components that could be available.

iPhone 8 – Touch ID technology remains a mystery

Combining this number of iPhone 8 terminals with the one circulated for the iPhone 7S and iPhone 7S Plus, the Apple company could end up selling 90 million iPhones in Q4 2017. This would be an impressive achievement for those from CUpertino, who in Q4 2016 sold 78 million iPhone units, and the iPhone 8 could substantially increase this figure.

Although the iPhone 8 can help to increase iPhone sales in Q4 2017, for Q3 2017 Apple should be content with the sales that the iPhone 7S and iPhone 7S Plus can generate. No one is giving chances to a possible launch of iPhone 8 in September of this year, all Apple partners suggesting that there are not enough components.

Unfortunately for those at Apple, the ambitions to bring the iPhone 8 to the market very quickly will end with a lackluster launch of the iPhone 7S and iPhone 7S Plus. Although these products will reach the market before the iPhone 8, most users will wait for the release of the latter terminal, so Apple could have serious problems in showing the world that the terminals are successful.
