Vodafone announced yesterday the launch of Future ChatBot, a virtual robot with which any person can chat via Facebook Messenger right now. The technology behind Future ChatBot is based on the virtual robots that the Facebook they launched them more than a year ago, Vodafone intensively testing the technology before deciding to implement it for everyone.
Vodafone created Future ChatBot with the idea of allowing all those interested to discover how the world has evolved in the last 20 years, but also how the operator thinks it will evolve in the next 20. Future ChatBot explains all these things only within Facebook Messenger , Vodafone providing the information it displays to users, but nothing more separate from this.
Vodafone tried to think of Future ChatBot as a virtual robot that has some personality in the way it displays information for the users who use it. In this idea, the people from Vodafone have integrated the information from Future ChatBot in such a way that they are played in a way similar to the one in which the information is played by a human through the same platform.

Vodafone has implemented in the Future ChatBot robot information from 4 major categories of interest, these being: Internet, Services, Communications and Auto. Considering the limitations that Future ChatBot has at the moment, you will only find out this information that Vodafone has included, but nothing else outside of them, so if you are not interested in these areas of interest, you can ignore.
Vodafone is the first mobile phone operator in Romania to create a virtual robot within Facebook to provide information to customers, Future ChatBot could be useful. It would have been much more useful if Vodafone had transformed Future ChatBot into a robot that would help customers with information to a certain extent, but of course everything has to start from somewhere, even if with useless software.
Future ChatBot is part of a larger initiative by Vodafone, who are celebrating 20 years of existence in Romania with a look at the past, but also at the future. Vodafone also uses virtual reality in stores to present the information from Future ChatBot in the real world, so the whole project is much more complex, but still quite interesting.
