YouTube – new Feature Launched Globally Today

YouTube launched today an important new function for iPhone and Android, bringing a messaging system to both platforms.

YouTube launched during this day a new extremely interesting function for users from all over the world, it has been announced for some time by the company. YouTube revealed a few months ago that it is developing a new function for the platform that allows users to share in new ways the video clips available on the network, the function being successfully tested, so that it is now launched globally.

YouTube gives users the ability to create private, individual or group chats to share videos with any of their friends. After sharing a video clip, users can comment on it in the respective chats, the video clips being displayed by the YouTube application in a very simple format directly in the conversation, so they will be very easy for users to see when they are played.

YouTube allows the application of likes for video clips right from that interface, and no matter how many people are part of a group, they will all see the same information. The YouTube application for iPhone and Android basically has a messaging interface much closer to that of a dedicated application, users being exempted from using other applications to share and discuss YouTube videos.

YouTube allows the sharing of video clips through this interface using the old method of sharing video clips, but now we also display the contacts from the website. Displaying this list of YouTube contacts to quickly share videos greatly simplifies the whole process, and everything was thought after about 1 year of testing the new messaging system in mobile applications.

"Starting today, you can share videos with your friends and family directly on YouTube. Not only can you share and receive videos in the app, you can also chat about them right on YouTube, reply with another video, invite others to the conversation, and more. We think it'll make sharing easier, faster and more fun on your phone. And if you want to continue sharing videos through other apps, you can still do that too.”

YouTube does not currently offer this function for the version dedicated to computers, so only the mobile applications of the platform have it available. YouTube will most likely expand the function for computers as well, especially since there are still a lot of people who use this version of the website, writing messages on mobile phones not being everyone's favorite method of communication.

YouTube launched this function to convince users to stay longer in its mobile applications, they are forced to use WhatsApp, or Facebook Messenger. YouTube is constantly trying to implement new functions for its users, and the one you see in the video clip above is one of the most important implemented lately.

YouTube offers applications for iPhone and Android for free for users through the App Store and Google Play.
