AKTA Mobile seems to be the name of the fourth mobile phone operator in Romania, this one publishing today its public offer for customers willing to use its services. I told you this morning that AKTA Mobil is part of the AKTA company and that the initiative comes as an attempt to compete with Digi Mobil on the mobile phone market, but the reality is still a little different from what we thought it would be.
AKTA Mobil announced that it has a single basic subscription that costs only 2 euros, but it seems that it does not include minutes or internet, and these must be purchased separately. AKTA Mobil sells options for the basic subscription, these having prices between 2 and 5 euros, and compared to what Digi Mobil has, they are far too expensive to be considered by anyone.
AKTA Mobil allows the activation of 3 options with minutes and mobile internet for the basic subscription. For 60 national minutes, those from AKTA Mobil ask 2 euros per month, 4 euros for 60 international minutes in the Fixed EU, with USA and Canada on Mobile, and finally we have a cost of 5 euros per month for 500 MB of mobile internet traffic, so we are talking about very high costs for the mobile phone operator.

AKTA Mobil seemed to be a player with the potential to become important, but based on the tariffs announced now, it seems that the hopes were in vain. I have already told you that AKTA Mobil is an MNVO, i.e. a virtual mobile operator that has leased Telekom services which it resells under its own brand, but at prices that are even higher than those charged by Telekom .
AKTA Mobil does not have cheaper services than any mobile phone operator in Romania, but things are probably just at the beginning and the offers will change. AKTA Mobil was supposed to officially announce its offer only on August 15, but it did it a week before, so maybe we will see other offers for subscriptions in a week, otherwise what they announced now is disappointing.
AKTA Mobil should have the services included in the service packages that AKTA sells, i.e. fixed internet, fixed telephony and cable television. Combining all this, those from AKTA could offer AKTA Mobil services at much more affordable prices, but it remains to be seen if this will happen and how long it could take until the prices offered are lower than the current ones.
