WhatsApp - Important Function for Europe

WhatsApp is now testing a very important function in Europe as well, specifically the American company is testing a money transfer system between users.

WhatsApp, the largest messaging application on the planet, is preparing a very important function for various countries around the globe, including Europe. We talked to you a few weeks ago about this function when it started to be tested in India, but it seems that now the people from WhatsApp are starting to test it in other countries, including two European ones with the idea of preparing the launch on continent, in certain markets.

WhatsApp started a few weeks ago to test a function for money transfers done through the application, as happens in Facebook Messenger, or soon in iMessage. The tests made by WhatsApp in the USA seem to have been successful, so now the American company is testing the function in the USA, Poland and Great Britain, and if the tests will be successful in these 3 countries, then the availability will be extended.

WhatsApp has not revealed many details about the mobile payment system that users will be able to try, but it probably works quite simply. Specifically, users choose the amounts they want to send via WhatsApp and sharing is done as quickly as sending a simple message, but of course credit cards must be registered before any of these things can happen.

WhatsApp - the important function tested in Europe

WhatsApp must first conclude agreements with various banks to offer this system and allow mobile payments, especially since Apple Pay will not be officially integrated. It is not known which payment processing system WhatsApp could use for the system in Europe, but Poland and Great Britain were not chosen randomly by the company, but probably there the integration of the system would be easier thanks to the legislation.

WhatsApp decided to expand the money transfer system between users because it was most likely a real success in India during the testing period. In Poland, Great Britain and the USA there will definitely be a similar situation, especially since there are many users of the WhatsApp platform, but also many smartphone users who use services of this kind in their everyday life, as is normal .

WhatsApp is an application for iPhone and Android available for free in App Stores worldwide, it has 1.3 billion users. It is hard to say if the money transfer system that WhatsApp is testing now will be available in Romania as well, but my opinion is that this will not happen soon.
