iOS 11 – how to Remove Portrait Effect from Photos

iOS 11 comes with a series of new functions for editing photos, the Apple company thinking that we need some good changes to look at the Photos application with different eyes. Based on this idea, iOS 11 offers us the possibility to remove the Portrait effect of photos recorded using the Camera application, this effect defocusing the background of an image to bring the main subject in it to the foreground.

iOS 11 has this function integrated into the menu for editing photos using the Photos application, so you will always find it there, at least until iOS 11 beta 5. Accessing this menu to edit a photo, you will see at the top of the screen the name Depth, which is used by the Apple company for the defocus effect applied to pictures taken with the Portrait function.

iOS 11 allows us to press the name, which is actually a button, and when pressed, the defocus effect for our pictures will be removed. The function is very simple to use and is only available on iPhone 7 Plus terminals with iOS 11, because they are the only ones capable of taking pictures with the Portrait function, so don't look for it on the iPhone 7, or the iPhone phones released before them on the market.
