Apple Increased MacBook Sales in Q2 2017

Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), managed to increase the sales of MacBooks in Q2 2017 compared to the previous fiscal quarter, the change being an important one for those from Apple. In Q2 2017, Apple sold more MacBooks than in Q2 2016, so an increase compared to Q1 2017 was expected, considering that the same thing happened last year, but in a smaller amount than in present.

Apple sold 3.98 million Macs in Q2 2017, an increase of 17.1% compared to Q1 2017, the company remaining in 5th place in the global top of computer sellers. Apple totaled 10% of the market of PC manufacturers in Q2 2017, just like ASUS, which still remained in the 4th place in the top, but the Apple company was lucky with the new MacBook 12 inch 2017, which seems to have generated sold quite well in Q2 2017.

Apple followed the industry trend, as PC sales increased by 5.7% compared to Q1 2017, and a 3.6% increase in sales compared to Q2 2016. 39.96 million PCs were sold globally, so that 10% market share summed up by the Apple company is as accurate as possible, those from Cupertino managing to increase their sales of PCs in a very saturated market for many years.

Apple updated almost the entire line of MacBooks this year to ensure that users have the best experience when buying their products. This decision seems to have been a very good one, because Apple has some sales to measure, but it remains to be seen what will happen in the next fiscal quarters, especially since people prefer increasingly cheaper computers.

"Apple trailed closely behind ASUS at fifth place in the second-quarter ranking. The updated 12-inch MacBook helped expand MacBook shipments by 17.1 percent from the first quarter to 3.98 million units. TrendForce also anticipates a double-digit sequential growth for third-quarter MacBook shipments as Apple will focus on the MacBook Pro series during the year's second half."
